Help yourself to our data equity curriculum

Data Reframed (formerly LA Tech4Good) hosted 16 of our our Data Equity workshops from 2020 through January 2025. We’ve sunset them, but want to make the materials available if they might be of benefit to you.

The interactive Participant Playbook covers reading for 3 sessions and hands-on breakout room exercises. You can duplicate the Notion playbook to your own Notion workspace for an editable copy.

The presenter slides are also available as pdfs and Google slides.

We can also offer facilitator training materials, pre- and post-workshop surveys, and group norms - just email us if you’d like access those materials or more information.

Many workshop participants reached out to express gratitude. for the workshops over the years. Thank you to everyone who joined it to make them such a collaborative experience – and who used their learnings to strengthen data as an equity tool. Thank you to Rachel Whaley and Eva Sachar who developed the initial materials and to the many facilitators who led the workshops.

The content would benefit from an update with a more global perspective, many references are old, and AI has changed the playing field in the last year or two. Nevertheless, it stood us all well for five years and perhaps it will serve you now.
