Our corporate and custom workshops are designed to help your organization or group learn the foundations of data equity and ethics, and they provide hands-on and practical tools to align, understand, and implement equitable and ethical practices in your data work.
We customize workshops that are right for you:
Flexible group size: We can facilitate interactive, engaging workshops for groups of up to 16 people or our introductory one-session workshop for larger groups.
Virtual or in-person: Workshops can be facilitated virtually or we can come to you for in-person sessions.
A tailored agenda: We'll focus on topics that are most relevant to your group, and we have three different length options to fit your budget and schedule.
For nonprofits and small organizations, we offer sliding scale pricing.

One Session Introductory Workshop
Our one-session workshop format introduces the tools you need to demystify concepts of data equity, data ethics, and the social impact of algorithms. This session challenges you to ask, "how does equity relate to my data work?" and offers practical tools to help you get started with more equitable data practices.
Participants will learn:
The foundations of data equity and data ethics
Equitable approaches for each step of the data project lifecycle
How documentation can be used as a tool for equity
An introduction to frameworks to explore as tools for implementing data equity
Format: One 90 minute session, including a presentation and facilitated discussion.

Three Session Core Workshop
In our three-session workshop, spread over three weeks, you'll dive deep into three core areas: data equity, data ethics, and the social impact of algorithms. Each participant should come prepared with a current project to apply the concepts during each session. We'll give you the building blocks to start implementing frameworks in each area, moving from theory to practice by applying these ideas to your work. You'll leave with stronger skills in thinking critically about your data and taking actionable steps toward more equitable, ethical data practices, which lead to stronger outcomes all-around.
Our three-session workshop includes all the fundamentals from the one-session workshop, plus:
A deep dive into one topic during each session
Curated resources for learning about each topic, including articles and videos
Facilitated small groups for you to apply the frameworks to your work in real time
Format: Three 90-minute sessions, each including pre-work, presentation, and facilitated hands-on interactive breakout groups with discussion.
Pricing: $5,400 flat rate for up to 16 participants.
Four Session Tailored Workshop
Our fully-tailored four-session workshop is a bootcamp in equitable and ethical data practices. The first three sessions will be tailored to your specific team or project as we cover three key topics: data equity, data ethics, and the social impact of algorithms. This tailored content gives you more opportunity to practice applying each topic, or more flexibility to customize your agenda for a deep dive on any one area. You'll get all the benefits from each shorter workshop, plus a fourth session where all participants will present their plan for implementing what they've learned for feedback from the facilitator. This is a catalyst for operationalizing equitable and ethical practices into data practices across your team and organization. If you do not have an active data project that you are able to use for the workshop, we can design the curriculum to include relevant hands-on practice with a relevant case study from your field.

At the end of the workshop, we'll provide a summary with key takeaways and action steps tailored for your group
